Luck

Luck

Luck is a success or failure apparently brought by chance rather than through one’s own action. Some people seem to have luck coming out of their ears, some people feel like they have no luck whatsoever and there are the people that just don’t believe in such thing called luck.

I’m a coin collector and therefore in this post it’ll be about all the lucky coins there are about in the world.

These coins are lucky coins that aren’t even issued as currency anymore and therefore are classed as precious coins. Lucky coins might lead to wealth, health, good luck and a prosperous life so if you need that extra bit of luck maybe one of these coins will bring you that.

The Caribbean Cent coin from Bermuda, decorated with a lucky pig – a symbol of both fertility and strength and also refers to prosperity and wealth.

The 1 Vatu coin from the South Sea island of Vanuatu. This coin features the lucky Triton’s trumpet which stands for happiness, success and love in Buddhism.

The 1 Tambala coin from Malawi features a fish which has been considered a symbol of fertility for many years. In China it also signifies wealth and success and in Christianity it signifies the faith.

An Irish lucky Penny, which brings great luck to its owner. These lucky pennies feature the Irish harp, Ireland’s national symbol.

The 1-Toea coin, which originates from Papua New Guinea. The butterfly on this coin symbolizes the joy and happiness evolving from things.

5 Pence from the Falkland Islands. The albatross on this coin signifies a happy homecoming and has been a popular motif for seafarers across the world.

The lucky Pfennig, the best-known coin in Germany. According to ancient traditional beliefs, this copper material that this coin is plated with compensates for evil charms and facilitates potency.

The historical Cash coin from Ancient China is often worn as jewellery to bring wealth and happiness to the wearer. This coin is seen as a symbol of wealth worldwide.

Now you know what lucky coins are out there but in the real world the question is is there such thing as luck? You always hear people say oh it must be my lucky day or I am so lucky to have you or I have ran out of luck today… but if you think about it if you are positive, and positive throughout the day and your life you don’t need luck because you’re in control. You don’t need luck to help you with your outlook on life and what you can gain from life, just know what you want, never give up and stay who you are, never change yourself for anyone. When other people treat you poorly, walk away, smile and keep being you. Don’t ever let someone else’s bitterness change the person you are. Be the strong, beautiful person that you are. Luck is just a bonus.

Discovery

Discovery

Do you ever go to the beach and look out towards the sea? Do you ever go on a ferry ride or day at sea on the cruise ship and look out to the sea?

When I look out to the sea I think about all the discovery that could happen in the massive sea that is currently infront of me. You think of all the ship wrecks, corals and connections of earth plates that are yet to be inspected or discovered.

At the end of the day it’s not about the massive sea or ocean but the association with the discovery you can find throughout the years and moments of your life because life is full of massive moments.

Recently I have learnt that you should never give up on discovering new things in life and that you should never let people get the better of you. It’s a massive world out there and there is so much for you to discover. One day, you’ll find something that you become content with whether it’s in regards to work, home life, family life or just feeling content in general.

The Unseen

The Unseen

Definition of unseen (adjective) is to be not seen or noticed.

Synonyms: Hidden, concealed, obscured, camouflaged, out of sight, invisible, not visible, imperceptible, undetectable, unnoticeable, unnoticed, unobserved, covered, masked, shrouded, veiled

As the feature image says ‘hope in the things unseen‘ and in my life I feel like that’s true. I have always said that I don’t go out to look for things in life unless it’s necessary for my success. I believe in the phrase that ‘good things come to those who wait’ and therefore there is hope in the unseen. I feel that the unseen is the things or ones that make your life bright for the future. Recently I have been lucky to have various things and people to come into my life who I never expected to happen or turn up.

If you think that you have no one around, you don’t have a partner, you don’t have the career you want at this moment in time then I can advise you to stay positive. The unseen for me was my career that got handed to me on a plate, the various friends, family and loved ones who have come into my life without me searching for it and the positivity I have had so far in 2017 due to the luck I  have had from the surprises in life.

Also, for all the people I have lost, the people I have left behind and the people I won’t see again; they have all left unseen footprints on my heart. The memories I will always cherish and they will always be remembered.

My Window

I’ve not really gone out of the box here with The Daily Post prompt interior but this is a little window into my life and as you can tell I love to travel. Rather than keeping a travel journal/diary of all my travels I buy souvenirs and I have a map on my wall mounted onto a corkboard where I put a pin into every place I have gone to. This is the interior of my bedroom which shows what my life is about… travelling. One of my goals this year is to write about some of my travels, suggestions of places to go and reviews.

I hope my future blog posts about travels will be interesting for you to read and if you have any questions then please feel free to ask.

Have a beautiful, sunshine-filled Monday.

2017 – new beginnings

2017 – new beginnings

2016 has been a year full of ups and downs and didn’t end the best as my car was broken into but I have a good feeling about 2017. I have made many changes for 2017 to make sure that I have a positive and happy year with little negativity. I’ve set myself goals that I will achieve throughout the year, I’m starting a bullet journal to keep myself more organised in life and a diary to keep track of what my parents are up to alongside my arrangements. I wish you all the best for 2017 and hope you enjoy reading my blog throughout the year.
